This summary is based on Nasilele’s video, hosted on YouTube. It reflects her individual experience and is not medical advice.
After being treated for tuberculosis, Nasilele developed a severe cough that did not improve with antibiotics. A CT scan showed a fungal ball in her lung, and she received antifungal treatment for 18 months.
She was referred to the National Aspergillosis Centre in the UK, where her treatment plan was reviewed. The team recommended changing her antifungal medicine and surgery to remove the part of her lung containing the fungal ball. The video description reports that after surgery her fungal infection was cured and her symptoms improved dramatically.
