The National Aspergillosis Centre (NAC), based at Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester, publishes annual reports documenting its work as a nationally commissioned NHS specialist service for chronic pulmonary aspergillosis (CPA).
These reports provide a record of the centre’s clinical activities, service developments, research, education, patient involvement and quality improvement work.

Understanding NAC’s national contribution
NAC’s annual reports document more than outpatient activity. They also describe how the centre supports specialist clinical decisions, contributes to research, shares professional expertise and works with patients and carers.
Together, the reports provide evidence of the development of specialist CPA care, changes in treatment and diagnostic approaches, and the continuing importance of collaboration with other NHS services.
