We are looking for a small group of patient and carer volunteers to help shape a new charity supporting the National Aspergillosis Centre.

Purpose of the Charity

To support patients of the National Aspergillosis Centre by funding small items, resources, and activities that enhance patient information, communication, comfort, and wellbeing, where these are not provided by NHS services.

The charity will be very small, aiming to raise around £1-5,000 per year to help with things like:

  • website support and digital information

  • printed leaflets and educational materials

  • small comfort items for meetings or events

  • community activities that benefit patients

These are small but important things that fall outside NHS funding.

What we need

We are looking for patient and carer volunteers who can help us:

  • share ideas based on lived experience

  • join occasional online meetings (2–4 per year)

  • support light fundraising when able

  • help guide what the charity focuses on

  • ensure the charity remains truly patient-led

You do not need any formal experience.
You do not need to be well all the time.
You can be involved as much or as little as you feel able — your health always comes first.

Who can volunteer?

  • patients (ABPA, CPA, aspergilloma, bronchiectasis, asthma, NTM, etc.)

  • carers, partners, family members

  • anyone with a connection to NAC patient support

Everyone is welcome, and roles are flexible.
