Antifungals prescribed by the NAC


Unfortunately the number of antifungals currently on the market is small, and the NHS is limited as to which ones can be prescribed. For more information on antifungals, кликните овде.

ABPA/SAFS or other forms of aspergillosis

  •  Applications must be made to your local CCG

Patients from Wales/Scotland/Northern Ireland (or other countries) require permission from their local healthcare provider before their referral will be accepted by the NAC, and some (e.g. from Scotland) must have confirmation of their diagnosis before referral. For more information about the referral process please see the NAC website.

Applications for funding to local CCGs are not guaranteed as they are awarded on the basis of the applicant being a special case.

Fluconazole is not effective against Aspergillus.
